Latavia has always had a passion for music. Born in Toronto and raised in Vaughan, Ontario, her earliest musical memory dates back to the age of four when she sang in her grandfather’s church. From participating in praise teams to choirs, music quickly became her first love. By nine, she began writing poems and lyrics, igniting her journey as a songwriter.
Throughout her youth, Latavia showcased her talent in talent shows and vocal competitions, eventually gaining acceptance into the vocal program at Westmount Collegiate Institute. She continued to develop her craft at the University of Windsor, where she released her debut single, “Survive,” in 2017, followed by two additional singles in 2018 and 2019.
After a brief hiatus, Latavia rebranded as TayBleu in 2022, marking a significant evolution in her artistry with the release of her debut EP, “A Bleu Era.” Over the past two years, she has focused on honing her voice, sound, and lyrical depth. This journey culminated in a final rebranding as Latavia, symbolizing her commitment to authenticity and emotional expression.
With her debut album set to release in early 2025, Latavia is ready to share her story and connect with audiences on a deeper level through her music.
